Description
The Smoky Brown Cockroach lives primarily outdoors, in places like wood piles, dead leaves or mulch and near a water source. It can often be found living in trees, under wood roof shingles, or in leaf filled gutters. Smoky Brown Cockroaches are good flyers and can easily travel between trees and roofs.
The Smoky Brown Cockroach is most active at night. It is an opportunistic scavenger and will eat just about anything. It is attracted to open garbage and pet food left outside. Once on the property it will venture inside in search of more food, usually coming in through the foundation or attic spaces.
Control Advice
Seal cracks in the foundation and ensure all windows and attic ventilations are covered with screens. Trim tree limbs back away from the house. Get rid of piles of wood and debris and clean gutters. Bring pet food in at night.
Active Seasons
